👋🏼 My name is Piera Mattioli. I’m a passionate Service Designer who believes in the power of Human-Centered design as a tool to create a more equal, inclusive, sustainable and healthy world, where all the voices are taken into account in the decision-making process.
⚡️ I have 9+ more years of experience in different countries working as an Organizational Changemaker in different countries, challenging ecosystems within and outside the organizations and leading processes of transformation.
While pioneering human-centric organizations and driving the co-creation of innovative and socially impactful concepts and experiences, I travel around the world and enjoy painting collaborative murals in diverse communities
🎯 I have led design teams and made collaboration and co-creation happen across departments located around the world.
✏️ I have proudly designed, prototyped, tested and implemented new innovative services in the South American market.
📍 I have helped co-organise ServiceJam events in Buenos Aires to educate on service design and Human-Centered innovation.
👁 I think and communicate visually and I believe in the power of visualisation as a way to make collaboration fun, engage stakeholders and foster systemic change.
💕 I am an idealistic with a hands-on mindset, eager to imagine and design a plan for our future and empower humanity to take a step, with curiosity and creativity, into new ways of living.
Highlights in my career
- Co-create innovative programs with and for coffee farmers in the rural villages of Colombia (Rainforest Alliance)
- Innovate programs with and for rural entrepreneurs in the villages of Dominical Republic (Food for the Hungry)
- Make premium customers of a bank meditate before a roleplaying session
- Have more than 2000 coloring book, designed to educate on sexual health issues, delivered to children in marginalised communities of Côte d’Ivoire and Burkina Faso
Biography
🇮🇹 🇦🇷 Half Italian, half Argentinian, I was born in the middle of Italy and raised in a spanish-speaking family. I grew up with an international mindset and developed a strong capability to emphatise with different cultures and a passion for diversity.
👩🏽💻 I have been lucky to have had access to exchange programs to study in USA and South Africa, and to learn Design in a world class university – Politecnico di Milano.
👩🏽🎓 I have a master degree in Product Service System Design and a post-certificate in Social Innovation Management at Amani Institute.
🌎 With a nomadic heart, I have worked in different countries and, in between of experiences, travelled around.
🌈 When backpacking in South America I discovered the passion for painting murals and since then, I am always searching for new walls to transform.
✨ I work remotely as an independent Service Designer while travelling the world, and in-person with the most diverse range of cultures in projects that matter.

Contribute to design a worldwide tax and pension system to equip and empower the new era of digital nomads
